AI AND HEALTH EQUITY
Artificial intelligence has the potential to transform health equity efforts, serving as a force multiplier for public health departments and partner organizations that are chronically underfunded and understaffed.
Yet today’s tools can also encode and amplify existing inequities.
This new regional initiative will explore how public health departments can responsibly harness AI to improve community health outcomes, advance equity, and prevent unintended harms. We’re seeking consultants with expertise in AI, health equity, governmental public health, and related disciplines to support this important work.
